The otherwise empty mongar public ground was converted into a mini town for about 5 days during the annual Tsechu. It housed several shops, bars, hotels, movie halls and fun centres like Tambola. Though dusty , it was a crowded place and was frequented by everyone-young and old, elite and rural, rich and poor.
Ofcourse and not srurprisingly, there were not many hospital visits and not even a single emergency call for me!
